Now that I've been here in Kansas for over 12 years I can honestly say I miss Montana. While this certainly isn't the worst place I've ever lived, there isn't much here for me at all. I do have a good job, but Montana is home and I want to return there someday.
I split from the guy I moved here with. He wanted to get married and I didn't. End of story.
I returned to the Catholic Church, which is the smartest thing I've ever done. I've made some awesome friends and I've been happier than I have in the past. Excellent move.
I moved to a small town two years ago but it hasn't gone well. Guess I just like Topeka more than I thought.
I'll be posting items over several days, possibly a couple of weeks. I'm starting with my Indian sari wrap skirts. I'm starting to make jewelry again so you'll see some of those items listed as I get them made.
Lots of you have asked about the cat in my avatar. Needless to say, his name was Snowbear. He was born in 1989 and he died in 2001. During that time we had tons of fun and he was my best friend. We had the same birthday and I'd take the day off to spend with him. He developed cancer and I had him put to sleep on June 9, 2001, which was the 28th anniversary of Secretariat's Triple Crown victory. He was the best cat you could ever ask for and I was lucky to have had him for those 12 years. Even though he is gone now, I have tons of wonderful memories and I am still Snowbearsmom.
I'm up to five cats once again. Many of those I brought to Kansas with me are gone now. Either the coyotes got them or I had to give them up when that person I moved here with kicked me out. I was able to keep Worf and Stormy and since then I have welcomed Mitchel, Bobby, and Abby to our family. Mitchel was thrown out of a moving car in Wichita, put on Facebook, and I just had to have him. I got Bobby from the same person. I got Abby from a friend here in Sabetha. Couldn't resist the cute little calico kitten.
Those that are gone will never be forgotten.
That's all for now. Happy shopping and stop by again soon.
Liz, Worf, and all of the other members of The Cat's Meow Family. :)
