MEDIEVAL STEEL ELBOW ARMOR BY NAUTICALMART Handcrafted from 18 gauge thick steel with a leather strap and buckle, this high quality piece of plate armor has been specifically designed to protect the elbows. The adjustable leather strap is used to attach the elbow cups around the arm to secure them. In the Middle Ages many infantrymen could not afford proper full plate armor, so they used these light item to protect their arms. Also known as a cowter, the curved piece of metal is molded with rounded to assist in deflecting blows. This set is polished and oiled to prevent rusting. For a more comfortable fit there is a cotton padded liner. Well padded, this item will be a perfect addition to any fighter suit and will protect your fragile elbow during training or light sparing.
