The Stator Assembly is an OEM replacement part for LG washing machines. This assembly includes the stator which powers the wash motor. As the main electrical component driving drum and basket rotation, the stator assembly is responsible for spinning the wash tub and tumbling laundry during cycles. It controls the belt that turns key functions.
Symptoms of a bad stator assembly include:
- The wash tub failing to agitate or spin clothes
- Grinding or knocking noises coming from the motor
- Cycles unable to complete agitation or spin functions
- Burning smells indicating potential overheating
Causes of a bad assembly tend to be normal wear and use, though scale accumulation or voltage fluctuations could also lead to failure. Accidental impacts may damage rotor coils or wiring.
