Original Maitres de L'Affiche poster by Lucien Lefevre pl # 90 "Cirage Jacquot" from 1896 

This is an original vintage lithographic poster, not a reproduction promotes the Cirage brand of shoe polish.

Wonderful image of 2 clowns using shoe polish to paint the other's face with shoe polish.

NOTES 

"Les Maîtres de l'Affiche " (Masters of the Poster) refers to 256 color lithographic plates used to create this influential art publication during the Belle Epoque era in Paris, France. The collection, reproduced from the larger, original works, in a smaller 11 1/4" x 15" format, was put together by Jules Cheret, the father of poster art and distributed between 1895 – 1900.
