Measures 8-17/32" X 10-31/32", 61+ full color pages, written by Bruce Jones, April Campbell & Scott Hampton, illustrated by Scott Hampton, stated "First printing, July, 1987," trade paperback published by Eclipse Books (CA).

Originally published as three individual issues in 1983 and 1984 by Pacific Comics, the graphic novel SILVERHEELS was reprinted with additional material by Eclipse Books in 1987.  The story seems almost lifted from JACK LONDON or EDGAR RICE BURROUGHS:  Earth has become a dystopian nightmare, ruled by an authoritarian dictatorship, which has tossed the "undesirables" into distant, primitive prison camps.  Pitting war against an interplanetary invasion, Earth's dictators are defeated, and now serve their alien masters as only "supervisors" of Earth, concealing the existence of the prison camps from the new rulers.  However, one of the prisoners in the camps manages to escape, to enlist in the alien's training program.  Secretly battling both his old and new masters, SILVERHEELS seeks to foment revolution on Earth, to once again live in freedom from any masters, whether Earthly or alien.
