I noticed the government offices will be closed on Wednesday in observance of George Bush Sr.’s death.

Just giving a heads up when printing shipping labels.

WOW, thanks for that info! I would have been annoyed (but understandable once I found out why) when I showed up in the parking lot and no one was there!

Good to Know. I can just visualize the auction site penalizing the sellers for late guaranteed delivery as they dont take special circumstances into consideration like this one.

USPS Limits Service Wednesday, Dec. 5

The Postal Service® will suspend regular mail delivery and retail service on Wednesday, December 5. USPS® will provide limited package delivery service on that day.

USPS Suspends Regular Mail Delivery

President Donald J. Trump has declared December 5 as a national day of mourning, calling on Americans to remember the vast contributions of former President George H.W. Bush.

To honor the life and legacy of President Bush, the Postal Service will observe the national day of mourning.

All Post Office® locations will be closed. Regular mail will not be delivered. Package delivery will be limited.

Everyone double check the information about the post office. I read at another forum that the Postal Service has NOT been advised to shut down. The statement states “MOST” not “ALL.

December 5th will be an observable holiday for “MOST” federal employees. Wednesday will be considered a holiday under the provisions of Executive Order 11582.

Be it yours is open or not, ALL IT TAKES is ONE of the pass thru routing stations to be closed to muck up your package and delay it a day. It is the government, dont you know, and nobody knows red tape better than them.
