Christmas in july question

I don’t have a paid membership, but I wanted to participate in the Christmas in July Sales. How do you create a discount? Do you just send an adjusted invoice if a purchase is made?

Edit Booth Options
Discounts and Coupons tab
Create a coupon (for whatever, discount you wish)
When you create the coupon…you can keep private and give to certain customers
But for CIJ
Click on Publish This Coupon
It will show in the listings next to the price that a coupon is available
Only publish when you are ready for Christmas in July

ps…
you can create several coupons, but only one can be visible (meaning you can have many private ones to give out to returning customers…I offer a code when send invoices) or as an incentive for other things

You do not have to have a membership to use coupons..you do for visible markdown manager which something different. For CIJ you set any discount you want…but yes, that is how to set up a coupon discount

Wait.. so you are able to create a coupon, but not publish it, and it can still be used privately by buyers with the coupon code? I never knew how to do that!

Yes you can make several coupons, and you can keep them private, and yes if someone has the code they can use it…Only ONE coupon at a time can be public, however

and before you ask…NO they cannot use more than one at a time…but the booth discount of spend xxx amount get xxx off, will activate if the amount is reached and they will still be able to use a coupon too..so careful with that

I prefer to do a store wide discount, easier for the customer. It just means I wont have a coupon published, so wont be on the coupon page.

I am going to use the bulk editor and lower the prices on all of my items for CIJ.

Anyone can create a coupon in their edit booth page, under discounts and coupons.

Or – you can change the item price discount for your whole booth, so that when someone spends a set amount they will receive a discount at checkout.
