I believe that there is little difference between the Lorain berry bowl, and Lorain salad bowl. To my understanding, the salad bowl is 7 1/4", and the berry is 8". But I’ve come across a bowl that is 7 1/2" across. If you measure edge to edge at the largest points that kind of tab out, then it’s closer to 8". Where am I supposed to measuring from? Also, it’s 3 1/4" from the bottom to top. I’ve been looking forever for the berry bowl, but need to make sure that this is what this is before I buy it. I would be deeply indebted to anyone who could help me know how to properly measure antique glass bowls!

I measure from edge to edge. Its possible some measure from within the rim.
You might consider requesting a closeup photo with the tape measure on the actual salad or berry bowl edge to reconfirm the measurements.
