Top rated seller badge

Back to the issue of these “top rated seller” badges- this needs to be fixed somehow. Today I saw a seller that sells one item like ours- it’s old and beat up.. he sells only 24 items total on Bonanza. And he gets a “Top Rated Seller” badge. However this happens it needs to be undone. Not fair to those of us who have spent years helping Bonanza grow!

Absolutely NOT!

Now, allow me to say that I perfectly understand Your frustration about this issue and I’m on Your side, BUT Your statement is not constructive and not fair at all.

First of all, it’s a positive thing that Bonanza shows the top rated seller seal along with feedback from other market – this gives the new member here more credibility before She/He will become an established B. seller and, in the same time, buyers can be more confident with their purchases.

All eBay buyers (I would even say all online buyers) know, what the ‘top rated seller’ means and if somebody doesn’t – it’s very easy to check [URL removed] [URL removed]

So, bravo to Bonanza team that they add this seal even to sellers with zero or few sales here – it’s a proper thing to do, these members worked hard for their excellent reputation online and as a buyer I would like to have this information.

And now the second part – as I said above I’m on Your side too…

I my opinion B. should coordinate better these issues in order not to create so negative reactions from B. sellers with a lot of sales on this site.

If I may suggest, it would be more positive for B. image first to set criteria for all sellers, how to become “Bonanza Top Rated Seller” (green seal), in order to reward those who consistently deliver here outstanding customer service.

Then, additionally, the TRS from other site, as You have already added (just make it e.g. in an orange tone, keep the green color for the Bonanza TRS seal).

This way nobody would ever question here any Bonanza new seller with ‘orange’ TRS badge or feel resentment at having been unfairly treated (“Not fair to those of us who have spent years helping Bonanza grow!”)

Dear Jenna (jennafashionboutique), congratulations on Your TRS seal, I’m glad You have it here as well!

It seems that what is missing here is the consideration that not all of us ever sold on eBay- so how nice for them that the badges get carried over. I am referring to those of us who have worked hard here vs eBay sellers who have done nothing here yet but still get the accolades regardless.

To continue- ‘So, bravo to Bonanza team that they add this seal even to sellers with zero or few sales here – it’s a proper thing to do, these members worked hard for their excellent reputation online and as a buyer I would like to have this information". We’ve worked hard for our reputation as well

gearseller2, You are welcome. BTW, Your Pinterest link here is broken. Add in Your booth’s ‘Contact Information’ ONLY qvigear, nothing else.

Thank You, EmbellishMart, I appreciate Your comment.

I’ve submitted too [URL removed] Dear Sandi, Your Pinterest link here is also broken. To make it active, add ONLY ArtsyCraftery

I have one and have only sold 25 items….they carry over from ebay just like the feedback does.

Bonanza has a good idea in doing it ,it gives confidence to a buyer. Knowing that they can handle customers well online.

And the Bonanza sellers with 1000 sales here aren’t eligible. Absolutely a terrific well-thought out idea.

TrinketBox says: May 20, 2016

and what of the bonz seller who has 20000+ sales……and those who actually help build the site which is now becoming nothing more than a holding site for ebay/amazon sellers…

gearseller2 says: May 20, 2016

So you actually think that someone who has only sold 25 items (and good for you by the way- not taking away from that) should have a top seller badge but others who have sold literally hundreds or thousands of items here should not have one? Doesn’t that show they can handle customers well online?

jennafashionboutique says: May 20, 2016

gearseller2 i agree with you, there should be a similar thing for sellers on here. But top rated sellers don’t just get a badge on eBay just for a lot of sales. It is much harder than that now.

jennafashionboutique says: May 20, 2016

But bonanza is not ebay and i always wonder why there is so much linking back to ebay on this site in so many ways. I have people go to ebay in buy something they saw on here. Even though it’s cheaper here.

jennafashionboutique says: May 20, 2016

I think it goes back to buyer confidence, they think on ebay they can’t get scammed as easy. But having this badge may help ease that feeling some have. So i think it’s a good idea but needs some work.

From what I understand, this “top rated seller” badge comes over from ebay when they import their items if they are indeed a top rated seller over on ebay. I was long ago, but mine never carried over, it could just be something new tho.

I do not sell on ebay. I have over 10000 positive sales on etsy. I have no way of achieving “Top rated” status on Bonanza so have decided to leave as I feel it makes my business reputation look bad when the few other shops in my category have this badge on their items and I do not and I have no way to achieve it.

I have been seeing a lot of the Top Rated seller badges in Bonanza’s search, so I was curious to come to the community and search for more info on it. Good insight from all of the above. I wish I had thought of this before doing the Bonanza survey. I would have said what I REALLY wanted to see was a chance for a Bonanza seller to be able to obtain, through good word, a Top Rated seller badge as well. I am disappointed that I will not be able to have the opportunity for this. I used to sell on eBay pretty steady but for the past few years, I’ve purposely only sold a handful of items here and there.

Maybe Bonanza will read this and implement a Top Rated seller badge that can be achieved/obtained on Bonanza.

Those Top Rated seller badges REALLY stand out when populated in a Bonanza search.

This is copied directly from the Bonanza website (current 9/2017):

Top Rated Seller Requirements*

Maintain a minimum of 98% positive feedback. Don’t break the rules!
Active member on Bonanza for at least 90 days
25+ transactions with US buyers within 1 year
A minimum of $250 in annual sales
Refund rate lower than 20%
Compliant with all Bonanza policies
Tracking numbers uploaded for at least 90% of your transactions**
*Any eBay sellers with Top Rated Sellers status also meet the criteria for Top Rated Seller status on Bonanza and will have their status imported along with their eBay feedback. After 15 transactions on Bonanza, sellers must comply with the Top Rated Seller requirements outlined above to maintain this status on Bonanza.

**Refunded/canceled transactions excluded from this rule.

We have FAB! seller status on reviews on Etsy but no way to import this good feedback to our Bonanza booth. So, we have to earn the status from scratch on Bonanza. Sometimes, that is how things go. I would like to see a way to import Etsy feedback into Bonanza … that would be spectacular!
